High-quality commercial baking equipment could help you feel confident diversifying your bread selection.

Whether you run a cafe, bakery or other hospitality business where bread is a staple, no matter which recipes you’re already fond of, there’s always room for experimentation.

Thanks to the modern technology behind the design of Turbofan’s range of commercial convection ovens, you’ll be able to whip up a variety of loaves, cooked evenly each time. Not only do these ovens come in a wide range of sizes, you can also purchase oven/prover combos to prove and hold your bread, or buy several smaller ovens to stack on top of each other – saving floor space without decreasing capacity.

So when your kitchen is fitted with this contemporary commercial baking equipment, spoil your customers by taking inspiration from these fantastic dessert breads.

Cream cheese chocolate

More akin to a sweet cake than your classic loaf, cream cheese chocolate bread makes great little slices to feature in your cabinet.

More akin to a sweet cake than your classic loaf, cream cheese chocolate bread – and indeed, any similarly sweet loaves – makes for great little slices to feature in your cabinet.

This particular recipe utilises chocolate chips and cream cheese to create a delicious, fluffy finished product, with melted chocolate throughout. To create, follow a classic banana loaf recipe, but replace the yellow fruit with your alternate ingredients.

You could diverge from the norm and instead opt for grating high-quality cooking chocolate into the mix instead of using chips, giving the entire bread that sweet cocoa taste. Place this at the front of your business and watch how quickly it gets lapped up.

Beer bread

Allow yourself to be inspired by famous Irish stout brewer Guinness and make a loaf that is a little more adult-friendly. This recipe blends both wholemeal and plain flour with oatmeal and brown sugar for dry ingredients (in addition to the usual baking soda, salt and so on), with treacle, milk and Guinness to create a truly gorgeous brown loaf.

Slices of this would go fantastic with soup or a stew, though don’t stop yourself from splashing out and plating it up with your own spin (adult sandwiches, perhaps?).

For something simpler, Jamie Oliver’s website suggests mixing your choice of hoppy beer with self-raising flour and sugar to create a doughy dessert bread with a malty flavour and wonderful aftertaste.

All of these recipes can be easily baked in a Turbofan convection oven at around 170-180 degrees Celsius. With bidirectional, large-sized fans creating an even airflow around the tray, the loaves will rise beautifully, with nice, crisp crusts and soft centres.
